http://www.meanhamstersoftware.com/...d_pocketpc.html

Mean Hamster Software (yes, that's the name of the company) develops software for a variety of handheld platforms, and they have an upcoming page... which lists upcoming Myst and Riven releases for handheld devices!

I haven't played either game for a long time, but I'll be keeping an eye on this -- I suspect the simple UI should port over fairly easily to a touch screen, and it'd be a nice game to replay on my Pocket PC. ;) I'd especially love to see a VGA version, but none of the screenshots appear to be in 480x640. MYST Obsession, linked below, reports that it'll take 29MB of flash or internal memory, which isn't too bad.

Now this I would love to see. I am a long time fan of these games and I run my own UrU server. ( www.alphablue.net if you are inclined ). I hope it comes to pass. :)

COOL!
Myst is the only PC game I've played to the end, but that was years ago. It would be nice to try it out again on my hx4700 regardless of whether they go VGA or not. The screen will display the images no nicely.

Whoa, Janak, you just made my day! Myst is my favorite series of games ever. I own almost every version (with the exception of RealMyst) and am currently working on beating Revelation. I can't tell you how much I would love to see a PPC version. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. For serious.

Mean Hamster Software (yes, that's the name of the company)
Uuhuh. :worried:
Mean Mamsters scare me! :helpme:
Looks great. The 29Mb does indeed suggest it Will be QVGA, but I bet it'll still be gorgeous. A nicely paced game for the PPC really.

I've been searching daily for this since I saw it would be released in February. Is it ready for download? I can't wait.

Excuse my cynicism - but I will get excited when I see a working download link...
I can remember how excited I was when I saw an announcement about a year ago about Microsoft games like AofE II coming to the PPC.
Still waiting...

I did not think I was interested in this, but as soon as i saw it was available, i seem to have blacked out, and when I woke I was back in Myst, 30 dollars lighter.
I sent an email to mean hampster support requesting they add a journal to the game, so you can keep notes and such. I own a pocket pc. I dont have a pen or paper any more :)
