I'm looking to get a 1GB high speed SD card for my h6315. The three that I've found so far are: Lexar 1GB 32X SD Card
SanDisk 1024MB Ultra II SD
Transcend 1GB 45X SD CardMy primary use for the card will be data and application storage (I put everything on the card unless it needs to be in main memory), though I'm thinking about carrying a movie or two for times when I have some time to kill.
I'd like to hear some opinions on these cards (or others) from the PPCT community, and hopefully from some people that have the same device. I've seen some comments on the various cards, but none where one card was compared to the other.

Rich

I have the Lexar 32x SD card -- it works great... It was my third SD card. My previous two were regular speed and were ridiculously slow to write... The Lexar is plenty fast to use with applications that are "write intensive"... Go for it!

the 1gb sandisk ultra II is probably the best one out of the three
its write speed is 60x which is around 10mb/sec?

I have some experience with a couple of these. I use the SanDisk Ultra II CF Cards EXCLUSIVELY for my Digital Camera needs. They are fast enough for my Canon S1 to write continuous sequences of shots without ever filling the camera buffer, or causing a lag while shooting. I've cracked off a series of over 200 images without a pause using these lightning fast cards.
For my PPC needs (Dell Axim x50v), I've stepped down a little. I have been unable to find a really good price (decent, but not much under $100 US) for the Ultra II in SD format at the 1 Gig capacity, but I did recently acquire one of the Lexar Media 1 Gig 32x SD cards on EBay for a little under $90 CDN including shipping!
So far, performance has been excellent and more than fast enough for the Axim, even while watching Dragonheart encoded to 640x480 in WMV format.
Hope you find this mini review of some use.

I'd go for the Lexar; however, you won't encounter vast differences with other brands either. Lexar cards are reportedly faster than other brands (including the Sandisk Ultra II cards) in some (but not necessarily all!) PDA's. Atually, if you don't plan to use your card in a (decent) digicam and/or write to it a lot in a card reader/writer, you don't gain much from using a hi-speed card.
