At home I have a desktop PC (W2000k) hosting a Netgear ADSL router, and 2 laptops (1 x XP Pro, 1 x XPH) connected wirelessly within the network. I also have a linksys 802.11g CF wifi card for my 2210 which I can also connect to the WAP.

However, what I would like to do is access any of the PCs drives from outside of the network using something like VNC.

I presume this is possible but can anyone give me some pointers about what software I need on the PPC to achieve this (preferably free, VNC?)and what modifications I would need to make to the PCs or the software being hosted.

A noddys guide would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Gareth

set up an MS PPTP VPN and you can browse across the internet onto your private network range.

Search VPN posts by Sooner Al. That'll give you plenty to go on.
