hi. i ask from all the imate jam owners to please report here all the complains about the units. i don't mean about defective unis, i mean about diferent type of buggs so i can send them a complete report for the next rom they will make come out soon.

me personally i have a problem with the microsoft bluetooth stack, that really sucks and i'm stuck with it. iven the h6315 had a better stack. i think imate can work for fixing or making upgrades for the units that we got for a very cheap price, u know what i mean. so one fix about the camera they did but few of us were not happy with that. lets see all the coments ....
thanks

i haven't seen any major problem, however i would like to say that it is not faster than my ex one ipaq 2210. also don't expect good phone specs. i mean it is not a nokia or any other brand. but still enough for me. when i press dial it dials. that's it. u got what i mean. i would like to help you in any situation.

I thought most of this stuff was already known by i-mate which is why it is listed on their site as the following (JAM issues):

Under Investigation

• The audio quality of voice calls will be enhanced. Some customers notice a distortion to higher frequency components.

• It is not currently possible to send MPEG4 videos using the MMS client. 3GP videos can be captured, sent and received reliably.

• Some Bluetooth GPS receivers do not connect reliably to the device.

• The speaker works intermittently on some units.

• We are aware of further issues relating to the quality of the images displayed and captured by the camera.

• Some customers may experience minor instability of the device, with the Backlight settings appearing when attempting to select other settings. A soft reset will correct this for a short time, however we are attempting to identify a fix for this problem.

The only thing i have noticed about mine is the very low volume of the speakerphone. I can barely hear somebody when holding the phone near me, let alone sit it on a desk and move 2m away. And the gain on the speakerphone mic sucks. speakerphone is basicly unusable. Using it normally (held to ear) is not problem, and has been quite loud, and clearer than my T610.

Other than that it is a fantastic device. I went from an iPAQ 4350 with builtin WiFi and i really missed it. I bought the device yesterday at about 5pm. This morning I went straight out and got a WiFi SD (the 2nd edition Sandisk SD that has Zire 71 support). It works beautifully. I love my XDA II Mini!!
