Hey all... I have this annoying problem with my toshiba e335. I been trying to get video on it so I can watch some videos and it worked for small 20 mb avi files as long as I had set 30 mb for free storage. I compressed at 20mins show into 40mb and set total memory for storage to about 45mb with like 41mb free, leaving my program storage at about 18mb with 6mb of that being used. When I start the transfer of the file in it gets half way or so and then tells me no space and stops. This seems wrong to me because I'll be watching the memory go down and the storage gets down to 13-15mb of free storage memory when I get the message. Why am I getting this problem? Just doing this till I get a job and can buy a sd memory card... Any help would be great ppl. Thanks in advance.

This isn't going to help, but it might explain the situation (I hope). The Windows Mobile OS dynamically adjusts program memory and storage memory. If you move the slider way over to get more storage memory it will ease itself back to close to what it was without your intervention. Adjusting this setting is only really useful for loading a large application with very little memory left on the device.

I thought about that but I don't see the slider move at all before, during or after the transfer, it stays the same...

It's also accessible if you highlight FORUMS in the top menu bar and select SEARCH from the menu that appears just below it.

ok thanks about the search thing... but any ideas on my space problem cause I have been checking with the search nothing and found nothing real helpful.... and I have been testing and my toshiba seems to run fine at 18mb for programs and 45mb for storage (like it doesn't reset or auto configure away from that setting) and I still get like 15mb of 40 mb on my pda before it says my pda is full ...
