I found a set of instructions at This Website (http://www.filesaveas.com/pocketpcconnect.html). I've attached the instructions specific to email below:

Go to Messaging / Inbox, and select the option to create a new account.
On Pocket PC 2002, this is done via the Services menu, by selecting 'New service...'
On Windows Mobile 2003, this is done via the Accounts menu, by selecting 'New Account...'
Enter your email address, and press 'Next'
If you're not connected, skip the auto-detect step
Enter your name, username and password. (With Tiscali, your username is your email address). Tick 'Save password' if you don't want to enter your password each time you check your email. Press 'Next'
At the next screen, select the 'Account type' (or 'Service type'). Most common type is POP3. Name the account with a friendly name, like 'Tiscali', for your reference. Press 'Next'
Enter the 'Incoming mail' server address (POP3 or IMAP). For Tiscali, this is pop.tiscali.co.uk
Enter the 'Outgoing mail' server address (SMTP). For Tiscali, this is smtp.tiscali.co.uk
Press Finish

For Gmail this is what i did and it seems to work

First you need to enable pop from gmail. This will show you how do to it.

http://gmail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13273

Second you need to setup outlook on your ppc. There isnt a specific
one for outlook on your ppc so you just kinda have to look of these
and fill in the blanks as you go. Outlook on your ppc is very similar
to outlook on your computer so its not to hard to figure out. Look
at both the outlook 2003 and the outlook express and outlook 2002 (for
windows)

The domain and SMTP settings will be specific to your email program, so you won't be using Tsceli's information as he put in the instructions. If you're unsure on these, ask your system admin. or email customer service for your email provider.

The instructions I posted only setup the email in inbox. You'll have to setup connections on your PPC to allow INbox to download your mail. The page I posted has some information on this as well, if you'd like to go look at it.

Are you sure you've checked in the "Outgoing e-mail server requires autentication" checkbox on the second page of the Options screen?

fce - After you've deleted the email you don't want, choose "Empty Deleted Items" from the Tools Menu in Inbox. Next time you connect for email, it should delete those items on the server.

In the account options on your IPaq, it should have a drop down for when to remove deleted items from the server. Try changing it to "On Connect/Disconnect" from "Manually". Let me know if that works. You should be able to find those by going into Accounts or Options in Inbox (Not near my PPC right now - not sure which). Post if you can't find it and I'll stop being lazy and figure it out ;)

guys, after 2weeks of using my email i encounter problem at my ipaq 6300...

when i try to retrieve message i received this error message;

"Message cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. Make sure you are connected and that your e-mail account setting are correct. Then, try to download message again."
