You can use all of the available SMS handler app (except for IA Phone Manager and message master Mobile Client, but they're not really a very good SMS handler app) with BT DUN (BTC1:).

As for me, I prefer SimpleSMS ( http://www.visualit.co.uk/simplesms.htm ). It's 19$ only, its memory concumption is 134k (mPhone 2.6.3 takes 2.6M, Running Voice 3.05 3M, c2i 2.5 1.7M etc), reads (but doesn't write) Unicode (to compare, prolly the best free SMS manager, Peter O'Neill-féle SMS 1.8.3 ( http://poneill.ucd.ie/SMS/ ), doesn't support any kind of Unicode reading!), has pretty cool SMS exporting (unlike, for example, mPhone; and, prolly the best GSM handler app, smart GSM 2.3.3, doesn't even support any kind of SMS export - the \Program Files\smart GSM\SMSMessages1_0001.dat and SMSMessages1_f003.dat files contain In- and Outbox, respectively, but they are very hard to read) etc.

I use SmartGSM for text messaging on my iPaq 2210/SE T68. You can also send picture messages and logos.
