If you don't remember me, here's my previous thread.

Previous Thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36859&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0)

I was originally set on getting the Dell x50v or something similar but when I thought about it, it's not really needed and I would be wasting my money.

When I need a good PPC, I'll get one then but for now, no.

Anyway, I'm still looking for a PPC. The only prerequisites are that it is 802.11b enabled and BT enabled.

Everything else doesn't really worry me and ideally, I'd like to spend as little as for the time being.

So, what are people's recommendations for a good basic PPC that is wireless and has BT?

Any recommendations would help. Also keep in mind, I live in Australia (if that's is significant) so some models might not be available here or they've stopped selling them. I don;t know though.

Thanks

The x3i, then. It's 275 US$ on Pricewatch ( see http://castle.pricewatch.com/search/search.idq?qc="DELL"*+AND+"AXIM"*+AND+"X3I"*&cr=dell+axim+x3i ) and is pretty good.

I thought the X3i didn't have Bluetooth, only 802.11b. (Not really sure, since Dell likes to put out different configurations of the same model.) The middle of the road X30 (312MHz) appears to have both and is $279 on Dell's site at the moment.

Yeah, you're right, Dell's stuff is indeed pretty convoluted, this is what made me assume it also has BT ( see e.g http://www.brighthand.com/article/Dell_Axim_X3i_Review on the subject).

The x3i does not have bluetooth.

Josh's recommendation for the x30 is probably the best advice. That's where I'd start.

Also, the older Asus A716, ipaq 4150/4350 would be a consideration -- they are all WM2003 First Edition, but have dual wireless. The 4150 is nice because it's really small. The 4350 has an integrated keyboard. The 716 has both CF and SD slots.

Haven't looked at prices in a long time . . .
