View Full Version : Toshiba e750 low speaker volume
Hi all! I am using a Toshiba e750 and the one annoyance that I've always had is that I miss my alarms because I can't hear them. I get this soft "chime" that goes off. Is there a simple way to increase the speaker volume or am I doomed with the volume on this PPC? Headset volume is just fine!

It is low. I don't know a way to make it better .... other than turning it uf to full, but of course yu tried that and it is still quiet.

As a happy E750 owner, I have to agree that the system volume is too low. Lower than my previous E570 and much lower than a Navman or similar.
Two suggestions:
1 Go to "Sounds and Notifications" and select the event "Reminders" and in the "Play Sound" drop down, select the loudest chime in the list. THis is just a matter of trial and error as you play each one consecutively.
2 I haven't yet done this but I intend to shortly: Go to http://www.freewareppc.com/clock/apreminder.shtml. This free app allows repeating reminders and says it supports escalating volume as well.
EDIT: I've just installed this and it seems to work as advertised. And it's free!
