I use MightySync to sync folders from my PPC to my desktop. Whenever I start MightySync, it opened fine, but while syncing it aborted and gave an "unknown system error". When I deleted all of the folder sync's, I uninstalled, reinstalled, and reopen MS, it opens fine until I try to add a sync. At that point, it always gives my an error box titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library","Runtime Error!" "Abnormal Program Termination".
Anyone here use MS and have this problem? I'm beginning to think that it may have something to do with me installing SP2. I have sent an email to their support site, and am awaiting a response.

Just a shot in the dark, but do you have the SP2 firewall activated? If so, you may need to add MightySync to its list of authorized programs. The firewall may see MS's attempt to use the AcyiveSync conduit as an unauthorized communication through the port.

Thanks. It wasn't the problem, but it was a good guess.

Where can I get Mightysync? Will it run on my XDA with Pocket PC 2002 Phone edition? It might solve the problems I'm having with Money for Pocket PC, Calendar, and Inbox not syncing.

I restarted my PC and now it is working again.
XDAPaul: You can get mightysync from handango or pocketgear, but I don't think it will work for your problems with inbox and calendar. It might work for your money file though if it is a large file it wouldn't be the most convenient. MightySync will work with your XDA, but it does not install to the PPC. It is a desktop program that works similar to Activesync. I mainly use it to sync items that normally are stored in the "My Documents" folder in RAM, to a Storage card. Everything in Activesync is still done seperately.

I don't use MightySync; but its free alternative, MobSync, is working great with me. http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=985

I think I tried MightySync once and I couldn't get it to work well for whatever reason (it probably was user error). With my new iPAQ I decided to try MobSync, and I've had zero problems with it (once I figured out that you have to make sure not to sync to a directory unless you want the entire contents sync'd). Works well, and the price is, of course, right.
