I have a HP2215 and a new lg PM-325 (I got yesterday). I paired the PPC with the cell phone and then went for the DUN connection, dial string #777
no user name or password and tryed with user name and password. but the phone shows that a connection is being made and after 14 secs it disconnects. I get a 68.x.x.x IP address but at no point during the 14 or so secs can I go to a web page or the like. Question Not sure what I am missing but I feel it is something simple. Thanks in advance.
cheers

1, did you also try IrDA (if the phone supports it, that is)?
2, you can also play with resetting the modem / (re)loading its factory defaults before the actual dialing. Send the following init string to the phone:
Z&f
where try to removing either Z or &f if it doesn't work.

thanks for the thoughts. IrDA not supported. i'll try reseting the modem. however my BT does not pair really well and will not disconnect until I power off both devices. Might need a hard reset and rebiuld.

Have you taken a look at SprintUsers.com? I don't have the link in front of me now, but if you do a search through the SprintUsers forum for lg 325 it should give you a few of the discussions on connecting it to various devices including PocketPCs and Laptops. This is where I went to get all of the settings correct.

I posted the below at sprintpcsinfo.com
'As it turns out it might not have been the phone. I did get a new pm-325 and it still did not work. as i said before I did a hard reset but this morning I did a hard "reload" with fireware 1.10. AND IT WORKS NOW!!! I have not loaded the new BT drivers yet but I will and will report if they or anything else makes a functional difference. Very Happy SOOO if you are having trouble and are sure you have the vision dialing info correct get the fireware from HP and "reload" the fireware. my dial in will not work unless the full
[email protected] and "vision" password is used. on the PM-325 you can get this info from ##data# and look at username and password. pick the "view" options under those two above headings."
