I know that when the battery is flat I loose averything and have to start again (seems very poor , but guess it is as it is) , but also the iPAQ drains power when turned off.

Is this normal ?

If I don't use for a couple of weeks - its dead and needs recharging , with all the reloading & re-syncing that needs to go on with this.

Any help ?

PS is it teh same with the newer PDA's ?

Thanks

Rich

Yes, because pocket PCs store most data in RAM, they need a small continuous source of power. If you don't charge your Pocket PC for awhile, it will lose its charge, and inevitably cause a hard reset. Pocket PCs with removable batteries have a small backup battery to prevent this when you remove the main battery. Also, as Pocket PCs age and are used more, they will lose their charge faster.
