Hi,

Does anyone know if the iPaq Pocket Pc with camera is able to capture the TV screen clearly? Or is it that the fresh rate of TVs are too slow to capture such that you get thick black bands (unclear portion) which makes taking TV screen photos impossible?

if you go down with the exposition time to, say, 1/2... 1/5 secs (does e.g. the HP software allow for this? If it doesn't, does it have a specific "Night" mode, which always means lnger exposition time?), then, the black bars won't be that visible (if at all). If they're still visible, take more than one pics until they're (partly) off-screen. The HP 1.3 Mpixel camera has (at least compared to other PDA solutions, except for the Clie NZ-90) pretty pretty good quality, so you'll get pretty good results. Of course, it'll still be much worse than any dedicated, branded digicam (Canon, Nikon etc.)

(Incidentally, are you a TV-DX'er? :) I've been one, before the "satellite age". Loved hunting for TV stations at 1000-2000 kms, bradcasting at the lower VHF bands.)
