in ppc2002, it used to be a link to avantgo in default page of IE which easily can direct me to my customized offline articles.

recently i upgraded my 3970 to ppc2003. in ppc2003, i could not find the link to my avantgo articles. the default page is changed to 4 big buttons: HP product & accessories, solutions, pocket pc.com and support.

where can i find the link? do i need to manuallly download & install the avantgo client?

Hi

First you must subscribe avantgo, and then go here:

https://my.avantgo.com/register/choose_device.html

Originally avantgo was on the cd (compaq ipaq) so i didnt have to download it, you can try to install it from the cd if you've got it, or you can download it from the url i gave you...

Good luck, post if you have some troubles

thanks bryanack,

i downloaded the software and i found the program takes up about 1.8MB of RAM and i decided not to install it due to space constraint **sigh**

i just wonder why microsoft/hp took avantgo out from the system (ROM). last time in ppc2002, it was bundled together with the operating system n was "installed" factory default into the ROM...

anyway thanks alot for ur help!! :)

It can be downloaded to an SD or CF card.

Removing AvantGo had to be an HP choice, probably due to increased ROM footprint. AvantGo is still included in WM2003 ROM image provided by at least some makers. It actually could be a choice for your specific device update from WM2002 to WM2003 in order to keep the new ROM image below a required size limitation.
