WEP or WAP?

I am using a Linksys wireless router at home for my desktop PC (wired) and Ipaq 4150 (wireless). Which kind of encryption should I use? WEP or WAP?

Do this choice affect the speed of data transfer wirelessly?

WPA is indeed more secure, and shouldn't have any effect on your performance one way or the other.

So no matter I use WEP64bit, WEP128bit or WPA, the speed of surfing the Internet will not be different?

The only difference you'll notice is using encryption versus not using encryption. The difference in performance from one form of encryption to another should be negligible.

Thanks. Without noticeable performance difference, than I think the choice is obvious, WPA!
