I recently removed an application that was stored on an SD card on my Pocket Loox. It is called Freewallet. I removed it because I bought ewallet and installed this instead. Unforunately when ever I switch on the PDA I get a window open up with the following message:
Notification Error
Cannot execute\SD-MMCard\IliumSoftware FreeWallet [Pocket PC]\FreeWallet.exe
It is obviously trying to start up the program, even though it isn't there!
Any help appreciated.

Problems like this come from invalid entries in the DB_notify_events WinCE database. You can correct this by hand (if reinstalling & uninstalling Freewallet doesn't cure it):
1, get Pocket dbExplorer from http://www.phatware.com/hpcdbex.html
2, install and run
3, go to DB_notify_events
4, go to the last entry of the list on the lower half of the screen - the 2nd "TEXT" entry. You'll see the EXE name in the upper half of the screen.
5, press the right arrow until you see a link to FreeWallet.exe.
6, press AT THIS RECORD the Delete button.

Great help!... Still, I'm on a mac at the moment, and so I can't run install files on my mac to install on my PPC.
Is there any other program I can use for reading this database? Can a registry editor do it? I do have Resco File Explorer 2005, but I could find anything resembling the lines you've referred to here. I'd appreciate any help, as the "cannot execute ... ewallet.exe" is getting on my nerves
I tried uninstall/reinstall, as well as upgrading to eWallet 4.1, which they say fixed the problem. Still get that annoying "Cannot..." window popping up all the time...
Thomas.

Hi Thomas1973,
I'm sure we can help you to resolve this. If you'd like to email me directly I can offer some additional suggestions (or I can post them here if you'd rather.)
It is true that just installing version 4.1 normally eliminates the problem. Since it didn't though we can try a couple other things.
