Is there any reason to buy an iPAQ from HP directly? How about a place like this: http://www.compuplus.com

It seems like a pretty good deal, I just don't want to see that I'm missing out on software or something.

You shouldn't be missing out on any software or included accessories. If you shop around at other stores (even online stores too), I'm sure you can snag the device at a cheaper price. :)
