Okay, I am using Internet Explorer 6.0 mainly but there are other versions in our environment as well. Let me preface this by saying I know how to add a trusted site. What I need to know is how to mass deploy 3 trusted sites to multiple built PC's.

Let say I have http://Ilikecheese.com http://Idontlikecheese.com and http://Ilikebutdontwantcheese.com I want them all to be in the trusted sites zone and have a low security setting to download anything from those sites.

Please note that the users themselves do not have registry editing control (and can't control their I.E. settings).

Please note all of these PC's do not have any trusted sites setup so I don't have to worry about current preservation. Also I want this trusted site to be there no matter who logs onto the machine. (All the things I have seen point to the HKCU key and not the HKLM key).

Anyone with any ideas on how trusted sites works mainly with I.E. 6.0 but if they want to point me to I.E. 5.0 and 4.0 stuff too that would work. Thanks in advance.

Well just in case someone is wondering I found the answer with just plain trial and error. If you take HKCU and move it to HKLM it applies to the whole machine though it does NOT show up in the Trusted sites list it does show up as a trusted site. If you go to trusted sites and try to add it it gives you an error saying its already trusted and if you go to the site the trusted site green checkmark is there.

Basically I took -

HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\

and moved everything I had added to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\
