Hey, I'm having problems installing skins into windows media player 10. It seems no matter what directory i copy the skin files into, nothing works?

Any help?

You should typically install each skin in a separate folder and stick them in \Program Files\Windows Media Player.

However, since WMP10 is very new, not a lot of skins support it. If it doesn't appear in the skin chooser, there's a high chance that it's not compatible.

Deus made one that works and you can get it at purepockets.com.

Thanks for the help. Not even the default media player skin is able to be found, i don't know why. The screen is always searching, and I cannot view videos. I downloaded a skin from windows' website, specifically for windows media player 10 mobile.. its not making much sense to me, and I have also tried making a folder specifically for a skin inside the program files windows media player directory.. i'll try the link put up.

thanks!

I figured it out. For any who ever have a problem like I have, this is what I did to remedy it:

1. Performed an Ipaq backup on my SD card
2. Remove SD card
3. Restore to Default settings (full reset- holding down Mobile Media Button, I task, then use the stylus to touch the hard reset button for 3 seconds)
4. System loads back up with default settings, put SD card back in
5. Restore from Ipaq backup menu.

Now my Windows Media 10 works fine and can locate skins, and as a matter of fact, some other issues were smoothed out. Before my videos and audio would not play off an SD card with 100% guarentee. I would have to copy a file off of the SD card to main memory for it to play in windows media player. Now they can play just fine off the SD card. I might have had a bum install of the new OS which included windows media 10.

Anyhow, thanks everyone.
