Not interested in reading the article... but sites that do not do reviews of PPC's are less educated about the devices... and do not have the knowledge to provide the consumer an accurate assessment. It would be akin to a movie critic doing a wine review... You have an opinion but how good is it...???

Would you buy a PPC from a review written by someone that has never used one... and thought it was cool... Or would you rather read a review from someone who has been using one for years that know of the inherent problems that one may face..?

I find reading reviews from those ignorant to the technology frustrating... it is almost the opposite feeling I get when I demo a unit to prospective buyers... in a brick and mortar when they realize that a PPC is more than an organizer...

TrustedReviews is a site about reviews. There are numerous PDA reviews... just look at page 2. ;)

If you search for "Benny Har-Even" you can find other reviews he's done and his wedding pictures. 8O

Hmmm, don't review PPCs??

I think the mobile devices section over at TrustedReviews is good for a website that is not solely dedicated to PPCs. I'm in the market for a new PDA and I've read a fair number of their PPC and PalmOne reviews. It seems their reviewers have been using PDAs for a number of years.

I'd rather read a forum post by someone who had actually read the article in the first place.

I mean, would you read a forum post about a particular website written by someone that has no interest in using that website?

I find reading ignorant forum posts very frustrating as well as misleading especially when I'm a prospective buyer.

I read the review and thought it was fair, though I may be biased since I have to justify my Dell X50v. They certainly are not a site that has no experience with PDAs, but rather one that is not obsessed with them. Sometimes, for the average consumer, it is useful to see the device from the point of view of the average consumer, rather than the rabid enthousiast. We all know there is no perfect PPC. At least not for any of us. We all have our favorites, and often based on hours, days, or months of research and anguish, so we are naturally evangelistic and defensive. For most general consumers, I would say the Axim x50 (any model) does more than they expect, or will use, at a decent price.
