http://www.viskey.com/visPassword/

As a systems administrator, one thing I frequently need to do is to generate passwords. While I've gotten pretty good with using tricks of various shapes and sizes, there are times I'd just like a computer to do the work for me. Here's a free program for your Pocket PC that essentially does the same thing, so you can take it on the road. :)

The "Memory Hook" feature, which helps you memorize passwords, looks particularly interesting. I'll have to play with this on my Pocket PC and see how it fares.

That 'memory hook' wouldn’t work well for me. Seems like more work to memorize. I prefer to think of it a sequence and then memorize is that way.

I like the concept, but part of me would prefer something that takes a small dictionary of common 3-5 letter words and allows me to combine those with special symbols and/or numbers to generate something easy to remember yet unlikely to be cracked quickly due to the volume of the lists and potential ordering of the symbols.

The memory hook is nice, but since these would likely be for other companies or recorded somewhere and rarely used, I don't know how useful that is for me.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention, though.

Cambridge Computer Corporation's freeware vxUtil (http://www.cam.com/vxutil_pers.html) also has a password-generator - plus a whole host of other invaluable network utilities, if you need them!

What I would like to see is this functionality as part of FlexWallet.

This seems to be a good deal. Why let my mind do the thinking when this program can do it for me? ;)

What I would like to see is this functionality as part of FlexWallet.

That's exactly the thought I had some time ago, but I suggested to the authors of eWallet that they consider adding something like this. Of course, for full benefit I would want them to include it on the desktop version as well.

Let's hope someone latches on to this concept and pushes it forward.

This functionality actually is part of a wallet software:
