I can't help being reminded of the 5MX every time I see the Psion logo. The 5MX was a clamshell PDA ahead of it's time made by by Psion Teklogix's parent company and was a joy to work with and type on. Can you imagine one of <a href="http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/psion5mx-review.html">those running PPC2003SE</a>? I just keep hoping we'll get the chance to see a clamshell Pocket PC with keyboard. Getting Psion back into the consumer PDA business with an innovative line of PPCs would be even better. I can hope, can't I? :wink:

Don't mistake Psion for Psion Teklogix. Teklogix is a subsidiary of Psion PLC. Teklogix is based in Canada and they don't have any regard for the history of Psion and their mobile devices.

The Workabout Pro is based on the old Psion PLC Workabout CL and MX range that are not PDA's.
The new Workabout Pro was created to give the market a rugged winCE device with customizable options such as you can attach a scanner or not........even have built in GPRS.

:) I wasn't attacking you. I'm not a Psion fan. I just have a very intimate knowledge of Teklogix and I was understating when I said they have no regard for the history of Psion.

I would love to see more innovators in the Windows CE industry (consumer and pro). I think Sony and Psion would make interesting products. But the Psion I speak of is long dead. And Sony's too interested in reinventing the wheel.

Over here it was called the Psion Revo and I had the 8Mb version and still have the 16Mb version. Great machine, superb form factor! Before moving to PPCs I always used to own clamshell devices......
