Bluetooth Passkey

Does anyone know what the default passkey is for bluetooth networking? I'm also having trouble finding out how to set this passkey. I have the Axim X50.

What device are you trying to pair your X50 with? It might be in the manual, but I'm pretty sure it's 0000. If it's a keyboard, you have to make one up to enter into the keyboard and the device, and if both devices have screens, OSes, etc. you again have to make up your own passkey on both devices. This information is usually contained in the user manual.

On my Pharos GPS Unit it would be 12345678 I think is dependant on the device you are pairing to. It should be as the polster above said... is should be in the manual.

I'm trying to connect with another Pocket PC a HP specifically. We can connect if we change our setting to authorization, but I haven't found any information in my manual or in the onboard help menus. Does it ask for a passkey when you "Pair" a device?

Well, if you are pairing two Pocket PCs, i think when it asks for a passkey, you make one up, and then it will ask you for one on the other Pocket PC, and you enter the one you made up previously.
