Anyone have any suggestions for good, solid, quality cases? I have an hp rx3100 series. I have had EB cases in the past but they seem to be lazy and will not make one for my handheld. I am ready for something new anyway.

By "good", "quality", and "solid", are you looking for a metal one or a leather one? If so, here's (http://www.saunders-usa.com/rhinoskin/prod.cfm?cat_id=5084&prod_id=9081) one by Saunders USA - the folk behind the Rhinoskin case.

Otherwise, if you're not solely after a metal case, there are other case manufacturers out there: Sena, Vaja, nSignia, Piel Frama.

Wow! I looked and looked for a Rhinoskin case for my rx3115 - I thought they didn't make one. I finally ended up with one like this (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0006JMMKQ/qid=1104910602/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl23/104-9097292-5579961?v=glance&s=electronics&n=507846). It seems to be a great case too (so far so good).

So I think I like the one from Saunders that Darius mentioned but I am concerned about one thing: the cover. Is it removable? Does it fold back "cleanly?" Can someone who has one of these let me know what they think and how well it works for them? I am trying to avoid a cumbersome case but am looking for extra protection because I think I am going to start carrying it around with me in my pocket (trying to use it more as an extention of my brain than before!). Thanks.[/quote]

all the aluminum cases that i've seen all work the same way. you just slide in your pda from the top and it holds it securely in place. i'm not quite sure what you mean by the cover folding back cleanly. the cover shouldn't be removable, or at least i've never seen an aluminum case with a removable one.

Hi,
Proporta do a nice leather case with aluminium sandwiched between the leather stitching...very nice and also extremely hard wearing with the alu....

If you look at the links posted by Darius (http://www.saunders-usa.com/rhinoskin/prod.cfm?cat_id=5084&prod_id=9081) and okkervil(you) (http://www.innopocket.com/web/showProductDetail.asp?ID=121&name=Palm) they seem to show the cover opening up. I want something more functional than sliding in and out, if that is all I wanted then I would use the cheap case provided lol. :D
