Hi all. This is my first post. Please be gentle to me.

I need help for an IPAQ 5550. This is our first shot at developing for PDAs. We are trying to put large training manuals (they were 1000 page PDFs) on handhelds using existing HTML/XML data. These PDAs will not be linked to the web. We are having big problems since IE on handhelds won't open multiple windows and toggling text with a graphic is necessary. Unfortunately we can't use a tool like Southway Corporation's MultiIE 3.0 because of the licensing issues of deploying this to hundreds of soldiers. Is there any code out there to help?

Or perhaps someone has a solution for opening several pages at once? Perhaps using tabs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

PR.

Could you not use a program like Repligo (http://www.cerience.com) which could convert the PDFs to a better mobile format for reference?

Maybe its worth coding up your own app (if pocketplus or ftxpbrowser is not allowed) using the built-in IE control.

This is trivial in eVB, but I guess its time to move on to .net CF.

Because this is more of a development issue (because you're not allowed to use multi-tab tools like MultiIE / PIEPlus / ftxpBrowser), you should post your request to http://pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=30 as well.

BTW, what about Netfront?
