Happy Birthday Jeff.

So, what's it like being born on Jan 1st, rather than the day before on Dec 31st? Advantages? Disadvantages?

Thanks for the well wishes all. I had a nice relaxing day at home (too cold to go anywhere), some cake and some presents. All in all a good day.

About the only advantage I can think of is that the first person born in a year usually gets some sort of gift. I was second in Calgary and third in Alberta so I didn't get anything. :(

A big disadvantage (when I was younger) was having to attend my party the day after New Year's Eve celebrations. ;)

Yeah, my parents were always very good at keeping my birthday separate from Christmas. I think I've only had one "combined" present which was a very expensive electronic keyboard.

That was when Bret Hart bought Mr Burns' mansion, in The Old Man and the Lisa (http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/GuidePageServlet/showid-146/epid-1459/)

OK, I think we can stop whispering now. ;)
