Anyone know of any great text file editing/viewing software, where you
can have multiple files open, search, edit/replace etc? [similar to product PFE for the desktop (which is free!)] - Thanks.

Unfotunately, neither Resco File Explorer not Total Commander support Replace (they do support, however, keeping multiple edit windows open), so you have to turn to other solutions. EditPad Plus v1.0 ( http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=974B7EXFFXCF5EACXB7846395F593C14&platformId=2&siteId=1&productId=50389&sectionId=0&catalog=30 )works, but it doesn't support multiple windows.

You should also check out HTML editors - there're a bit of overkill, but it seems there're no better (cheap) alternatives for multi-windowed solutions. http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=974B7EXFFXCF5EACXB7846395F593C14&platformId=2&siteId=1&productId=82371&sectionId=0&posit=50&catalog=30 is one of them - there're some 10 other apps like this as well.

Thanks for that. Have obtained the software, & although it provides multi-file actions [eg. delete, copy] etc; when multi-files are selected, there is no longer an option to view [or open] them. If you go back to Resco File Explorer & try to open another file, it returns you to the already open file. Is there an option to change this effect? Apart from this, I like the search [find] facilities, & could maybe 'make do' with it as is. Thanks again, for your help.

Yeah, that's true - it's only Total Commander that supports multiple file editing windows, not Resco. Make sure you click the 'Notepad' icon (next to the Show menu).

Thanks again. Am happy with Resco - Mostly just use data on my ppc for reference anyway, so not bothered about lots of editing facilities.
