ipaq 3600 problem

I am using the Compaq Ipaq 3600 pocket pc. I am using the usb cable that connects the pda to my computer thru active sync for my internet connection on it [temporarally] but for some reason, the internet connection cuts out and I have to disconnect and reconnect the device multiple times, and sometimes restart it, before my internet connection is back. This has become quite agrivating, someone please tell me what I can do!
