i have an ipaq 3870 with the pcmcia epansion plus sleeve and an ads technologies firewire/usb2.0 pcmcia combo card and was wondering if anyone has ever tried/gotton something remotly like this to work on the ppc OS.

just a thought really, i thought i would be wicked hot if i could get my thumbdrive to work with it :-)

Actually, it ( http://www.adstech.com/products/intro/products.asp ) seems to be a CardBus card (not just a plain PCMCIA), so it will not work with any PCMCIA sleeves. (And if a PCMCIA version existed - which is highly unlikely, because of PCMCIA's restrictions, compared to CardBus -, the lack of WinCE drivers would render it almost useless; that is, if it doesn't work with the common WinCE USB drivers, e.g., that of Ratoc).

Why don't you just buy a USB host CF card? http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/products/subpages/cfu1u.html
