It was okay at first but over the last couple of months it just seems to have been a whole lot of advertisements and I don't find the content generally very interesting at all. I guess I have just witnessed the maturement of this website as a business plan and I know you gotta make a buck by getting people to buy stuff by clicking your links.

It's your call to remove it, and sorry to see you go... but having just taken a look at the frontpage, I'm not sure I'd call it an "advertisement". Of course we're going to report on commercial products -- and sometimes we'll put affiliate links -- but as of this moment most of the posts don't have it. We don't post because of the affiliate links, but rather put those as a side-effect, and of course you don't have to click on them.

Wow, been here for a few whole months and witnessed this "maturement"? I like this site, been lurking here for years, and have no problem with whatever the folks here have to do to make a buck. After all, we that don't subscribe to the site are able to stay here and bitch because of the adverts and subscibers that do help to foot the bills! JA

I must say i do not see many adverts. I see a lot of commercial products being named, but that is the business: if a product gets a major update, it gets told.......

This isn't meant to be antagonistic in any way.

If it's somehow suboptimal that we post about commercial software for the PPC, what are we supposed to post about instead? We do cover freeware/shareware quite a bit as well.

I guess I'm thinking about it in terms of "I like my PDA. What can I use it for and with?" Well, software, commercial or not, and accessories, are the things I personally want to hear about so that I can use my PDA more and "more better". ;)

I'm sorry to hear you go, but I wouldn't be calling the front page news posts, "advertisements". Whether it be a commercial product or a freeware, we still post on it. There have also been countless number of times when we've linked to interesting articles worth reading. The intention of our posts are to make the readers aware of the news in the Pocket PC world and how they can get more out of their device, not subject them to blatant advertising.

This IS one of the best sites. The knowledge that ppl share freely and the time devoted is quite phenomenal. Good luck to those that need to make a buck to keep the site viable.. and here's hoping they do!!

Happy new Year!
