Hey everyone. I just got a Vaio K33 and I'm really bummed about its battery life. 90 minutes! It sucks. So I mainly use it at home, plugged into the wall, but I can't bring it in the car because it dies after an hour and a half.
I have a power inverter, but its problem is that it gives power in short bursts, instead of a steady stream like a wall plug. I wasn't sure how that would affect my laptop so I went out and got a car charger.
The car charger does the same thing! So I read up on the internet, and it turns out that a wall plug is 120 volts but a car's battery is only 12 volts. So that must be why it goes in short blasts.
Anyway, the car charger AND the power inverter do the same thing, but I guess my questions are...
1. Will these short blasts harm my laptop?
2. Is there any car charger compatible with the K33 that somehow magically gets past this problem?
