Help!! PPC screwing up :(

Please help me, I don't know what to do.... I was using media player on my ppc when it asked which progs to close to free up memory. I selected one or two and ever since my ppc is being all weird. Especially the close "x" at the top right isn't there anymore - which makes using it impossible.
