View Full Version : MemMaid Giveaway

If you own a Pocket PC (and I'm assuming a few of you do), you've probably experienced some challenges with the ways it manages memory, especially when it comes to the way it stockpiles temporary Internet files. One of the best tools I've found to help manage those RAM-sacking files is MemMaid from Dinarsoft. MemMaid has all the tools you need to keep your memory squeeky clean, especially with the features they've added in their latest upgrade to v1.4.

The folks at Dinarsoft want to make it as easy as they can for you to get your hands on a top-notch memory management utility, so they're giving away a free MemMaid license to each of five lucky Pocket PC Thoughts readers. If you want to enter for a chance to win, here are the rules: <!>

1. Install the free MemMaid demo, available here.
2. Under the first (Quick Cleaner) tab, perform a SCAN (Note: you do NOT have to actually perform the CLEAN step if you don't want to.).
3. Reply to this thread and list ONE -- and only one -- item that MemMaid indicates is robbing you of memory.
4. All entries must be posted BEFORE 2am PST on December 27.
5. Sometime after December 27, we will randomly select a winner from among the correct entries.
6. You may enter only once. If you enter more than once, you will be disqualified.
7. You do not need to be a Subscriber to enter, but you must be registered.
8. As usual, the decisions of all judges are final. However, we have decided to loosen our usual rules about whining. So, if you really want to whine about this contest, feel free to do so. However, if you actually post your whining to this thread, we will send an electronic curse to your Pocket PC, which will cause your reminders to stop working.

Finally, if you just can't wait until we announce the winners or just can't stand the suspense, Dinarsoft is continuing its 20% discount to all Pocket PC Thoughts Subscribers. If you're a Thoughts subscriber, just go to our Subscriber Discounts page and click on the Dinarsoft link.

IE cache files for me too, about 500-600 k of them, which is really weird to me because this is a new device and I've never even opened IE before (except maybe once or twice accidentally) 8O But this program is great because I also have the system cleanup tool that comes with Sprite Backup, and it didn't even bring up the cache files.

Well, how bout this....hopefully I might win (would be a lovely new year's gift). I downloaded the demo software and found it easy to do and easy to use. I had several things clean out...most memorably, old avantgo files (since I no longer use this program it was a relief to see the "trash" removed).
I recently bought a new/larger sd card for my HP IPaq 2215 and am thinking about other add ons....wi-fi card, camera? I imagine these things would invite a bunch of other trash to my handheld, sooooo I would love to be chosen to win this item.
Peace :D

Hmm, I had 11.84KB in 'Dead Registry'? I wonder if there is a way to list the entries?
Looks like a nice piece of software but I would like to know what it plans to clean before I Clean. Sweet, click on the plus sign and it will show you all of the entries it found.
Great piece of software!

Hi,
If you want to know the entries, just switch to the AdvancedCleaner (tap on the arrow beside the title "QuickCleaner") and do a [scan].
The advanced cleaner will give you all the details about what it found

Hi, I-ve recently installed the demo version of MemMaid 2.3 based on the info in the internet that it is a great tool to increase your Windows Moble phone performance. I have this kind of habit to install any kind of useful softwares in my Wimo, to have an easier life ;) ... but after some reviews and trials, I might not need some of those aplications after all.. haha.. and this habit still continues and I don't think that I would stop now or ever...:p
Then, when I try to clean my Wimo using MemMaid, I was and still surprise that after 3 days nonstop, MemMaid is still in the process of cleaning my dead registry... It shows me the process of cleaning 505.31 MB of dead registry.. and it still going up.. and up... and up...
Is this normal ? 3 days and ongoing ?
If MemMaid is really that good, and really cleans all of your unused items in your Wimo, I would definitely vote for it! and suggest all Wimo user to get this great application.. viva MemMaid.. :)
