Complete with pockets and a removable belt clip, this book-style case may be a worthy companion to your miniature device. Interested? not bad, thats very "krusell" like, but I really like the horizontal belt case that came with my JAM

I looked at the Brando cases for my PDA because I was considering a horizontal case. But the white stitching on black leather sort of turned me off.

So I decided to stick with Vaja. Expeciall since I get a 20% disount. :D

Nice, but I too will wait for a Vaja I-Volution case or a skin case...

I am also turned off by the 'homeboy' white stitching of that case, otherwise I would most likely buy one for my Mini/Jam/whatever it's call where you happen to live.

I also really like the standard case, but I personally don't like the fact that the belt clip isn't removable!! I personally don't like hanging things like that off my belt, and since this unit is actually Pocketable (the first REAL pocket pc I have owned in fact) I want something just like the standard case sans the belt clip.

I was going to remove the clip by plucking the stitching off the material holding the clip on, but I am not sure if the clip is also glued to the case (I am assuming it would be). Has anyone had any success removing the clip (apart from simply hacking off part of it)?

The XDA II Mini / i-mate JAM really rocks!

Why not wait until the newer version that will come out after that newer version :)

Give in to temptation, the one out now is already good enough

If I can use just 64MB, I would get this device. But I NEED 128MB, no way around that. Gotta wait and resist temptation

I think it's designed to blend in with the black/white colour contrast of the device itself. I don't know if it works *that* well, but if all else fails, a black permanent marker will help conceal the white string. ;)

I am waiting for something more in the lines of a skin type of case (like the ones for iPODs - I think they are rubber or maybe pvc).

RE: i-mate carry case I think the belt clip is glued to the back of the case, I wouldn't recommend ripping it off as you might damage the case itself. Anyway the problem with a case like this is that the clip can break (experienced this with my panasonic sv-av30 camera case)... It would have been better if they just placed a belt loop instead (the case would then be very pocketable).

I am happy with my i-mate JAM but I guess will have to wait awhile for some nice cases and accessories...

Good point that. There is some permanent storage area where you can store some extra stuff but it's not particularly large (~8MB). It takes my 1GB SD card without complaint though, and that's where I am storing as much as I can. Hopefully PocketPC Techs have one open as we speak!

By the way, I just hooked up the Holux GR-230 Bluetooth GPS (bought for $140AUS on ebay) up to my mini/JAM and it works very nicely indeed
