They don't admit exactly when... or how much memory it'll ship with, though. :P

[i]creates a successful merger between business and pleasure
Why am I picturing a mullet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mullet_%28haircut%29)?

That's hilarious dude, mullet never ever did create a happy union of "business in the front, party in back" yet there are still so many disciples out there carrying the message. Truly this is sad, and btw thanks for ruining it for me now the MPX in my mind will always be associated a Mullet – Motorola Mullet MPx – nice alliteration.

Hmmm what's the sound of one hand not giving a care?
Honestly if this thing had more storage space maybe I would at least consider it. As it stands.

You never know, they may bump the memory up on this thing since they don't mention anything about it. Or maybe they're just ashamed or embarrased to admit the actual specs.

An Overachiever in Convergence
Yeah. Thats nice. Underachiver in anything useful.
BTW RE: Mullet link. I never thought I'd see David Hasselhoff and Kevin Keegan mentioned on the same page. My life is now complete.....or maybe not.

Being an Aussie I was both embarressed and impressed (in equal measure?) to see to of our Cricketing greats (one of them even a West Aussie like myself) mentioned in the definition of Mullet. Maybe this is one way to bring Cricket to all you poor "unbelievers" in places like the US of A :devilboy:
Back to the MPx - if this had a decent amount of memory and a "real" processor I just might (might) be interested - for the inovative form factor if nothing else. But with the memory/processor combo that was found in the various demo units that have been reviewed - no thanks!
I've had a chance to play with this unit for 2 weeks, it was pre-production device with all associated bugs etc. I didn't like it. Not due those bugs, but form factor. It's just terrible. When you using this thing as a flip phone it looks ridiculous. Keyboard is also not very usefull. All construction is very flimsy, a lot of squealing noises. I am sure, it will find it's customer, most of the people will buy it because it's Motorola :)
IMHO

Several friends in the singapore office mentioned that they got assigned a 128 MB version of MPX from our company. Cool. Singapore in december, Indonesia in january.

If this is true, now this would be smart. Just as I've suggested they do: 128MB RAM and 64MB ROM.
But even if they do offer that, that's only half the battle. Then they'd have to improve the processor, or still no go. That weak little TI OMAP they've got in there just isn't gonna cut it.

Maximus, you're in Singapore?
Currently in indonesia, but my job requires frequent travels to the regional headquarter in singapore. Before i was assigned to indonesia, i spent the last 7 years in singapore.
