I have been using Vito Button Mapper on my Toshiba e755 to allow the mapping of both "push" and "hold" on the buttons (a functionality that I really missed when I moved from my Jornada 568), but I have found that it conflicts with both the Toshiba's built in backup software and with Sprite Backup causing the backup to stop part way through. Even using the option in Sprite to automatically close running processes does not work with this one - I have to manually go in and shut it down - which sort of defeats my aim of having an automatic backup run when I first sync.

Anyway - I was just wondering if anybody knows of alternative software that will allow double mapping of my Toshiba's buttons?

You should try ButtonMax 2 (pocketmax.net) which allows mapping push, hold AND double-clicks!

It also has an amazing Full screen action...

For a freeware option there's 'Mort Buttons': http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/mortbuttons.shtml and: http://www.sto-helit.de/freeware/pocketpc/mortbuttons-en.pl

I've used it for 6 months. It works perfectly. May only be for PPC 2002.

You also might try out DoubleLauncher at www.OrthancSoftware.com.
