http://www.ebswift.com/PocketPC/WordNet/

We previously posted about the Freeware/Donationware Dictionary/Thesaurus WordNetCE version 0.995 in April and already we're at version 2.5.01. How time flies – I hadn’t even noticed that it had hit version 1.0 or 2.0. I previously mentioned that I was happy with the program and I’ve been using it since I posted on it. This new update brings a lot of new features to the party, including an anagram solver/maker, scrabble solver and regular expression searches:

Troy Simpson created WordNetCE to access the free WordNet dictionary created by Princeton University. You really need to put the dictionary on a storage card folder as it's fairly large at around 35MB, but hey, storage cards are cheep these days. You can get the dictionary here and WordNetCE here. It’s not fully PPC2003SE aware, but it seems to work just fine on my X50v and I’m sure that Troy will get on to it soon. He's good like that. 8)

Hello again, thanks Pocket PC Thoughts for your continuous support of my software! It's been a little while now since the initial release and WordNetCE has become somewhat more powerful.

On Saturday I made the latest release which brings a few more features to WordNetCE. As always it remains freeware, there are no paid extras or addons whatsoever. New in this version is an update to the search engine to work with the new WordNet 2.1 database - if you're upgrading it will not work with the old WordNet 2.0 database, you need to replace it. There's now a scrabble allowed words search which enables you to restrict all advanced searching to a list of over 200,000 scrabble allowed words - any word returned from this list will be allowed to be used in a scrabble game. Sounds like search has a new engine and it now has a sensitivity selector and known first letter selection to help speed up sounds like searching.

There are some bug fixes as well. I hope everyone likes this release and makes good use of my software.
