Suggested Alternative Software rather than use MS Outlook Notes

Depends what you are looking for... there are lots of alternatives... PhatNotes... PhatPad... Tombo... dNotes... Resco Stickies... the list goes on and on...

Do those sync automatically from the pda to the desktop? To be more clear; I juse Pocket Informant/Phat notes and I like how it works on my pda but it syncs wiht Outlook notes and Outlook notes has very limited functionality. Is there a better desktop application for notes that will sync with a pda?
