Hi all,

I purchased a Targus 'Universal' wireless keyboard today for my HP hx4700 only to find it does not live up to its 'universal' statement.

Everytime I go to open the driver program I loaded onto my Pocket PC it freezes the pda entirely - resulting in me having to reset the whole system. I thought the drivers on the cd-rom which came with the keyboard might be outdated, so I downloaded the latest drivers from the Targus site with no improvement.

I even loaded it onto a friend's brand new, never used hx4700, and it also freezes.

How am I meant to activate the keyboard when the program keeps locking up? At the moment it looks like I've just wasted money on another incompatible 3rd party product.

Has this happened to anyone else? If there is a way to get around this frustrating problem, any advice would be immensly appreciated.

Patience. The hx4705 is still considered a very new device running a relatively new operating system Many 3rd party vendors (both hardware and software) still have updated their support. It often takes a bit of time for the rest of the world to catch up. You have a few different options as I see it. You can write to Targus to find out when your device will ba supported. You can simply wait for updated drivers to show on the website. Or you can just try to return the keyboard and get your money back.
