i wish someone can help me the a problem im encountering with PhatNotes...
you see, though i have a valid registration - the software always “becomes” unregistered, and asks me to re-enter the registration information... and this happens about every five to seven days...
i really dont know what is going on here - and this is truly becoming a hassle
thanks in advanced!!!

I've never had that problem. (I think I may have even uninstalled it once and re-installed, and it found my registration.) Have you contacted Phatware?
I don't know if it would help to uninstall Phatnotes, soft reset, and then re-install. (Taking all precautions to backup your data prior to performing such acts, of course.)

Are you using a cleaner program like MemMaid? I've found that it deletes the registry keys that keep PhatNotes registered.

I'm thinking the same thing. PhatNotes keeps registration information inside the registry. The only explanation is that the registration key is getting cleaned every 5 to 7 days. I've been using PhatNotes for nearly 4 years and the only time I re-register is on hard resets or whenever I switch to a new device.

Dear Sir,
This is strange and shouldn't happen. MemMaid cleans the registry from leftover from uninstalled programs only.
Can you please try MemMaid advanced cleaner (tap on the arrown beside "QuickCleaner" and choose Advanced Cleaner) and do just a "scan".
The advanced cleaner will list all entries which MemMaid considers invalid entries. If there is anything related to PhatNotes, can you please let us know about it ?
Thanks

I've confirmed that this does happen. MemMaid identifies a key, that if cleaned, removes the PhatNotes registration. There's nothing in the key that identifies it as PhatNotes, however, so maybe that's the problem.

Can you please tell us what entry is that so we make sure we don't delete it ?

I had the same exact problem. Through process of elimination, I found that on my device Memmaid was deleting an entry under the Dead Registry section of the advanced cleaner.
The exact entry is E3124C1D-A9A5-4314-8A88-5AF3DB9C7145
I have no clue about registries or anything, like whether this entry is specific to my device or not. All I know is that when I uncheck this entry and do the cleaner, Phatnotes stays registered, but when I let memmaid delete it, phatnotes asks you to register the very next time you open it.

Dear Sir,
When you select an entry in MemMaid's AdvancedCleaner, the bottom window will display more information about the selected entry.
Can you please select this entry (the one you opsted above) and tell us what does MemMaid say about it ?
Thank you very much for your help

and yes - it would seem that MemMaid is the problem...
you see, i made journal of the times that i have to re-enter my PhatNotes registration, and it coincides with my housecleaning with MemMaid
another that hinted me on it is that even though i havent installed new programs nor uninstalled old programs, there are times that MemMaid detects invalid registry entries, dead, etc.
could it be MemMaid then? if that were so, why? i am really interested in knowing why...
thanks!!!
PS:if it has been officially verified that MemMaid is the one causing it - would MemMaid offer a fix?

Just to wrap this up, it looks like memmaid cleans two keys that belong to phatnotes, the first of which involves the registration. Here's the text that memmaid shows:
Type : Invalid COM Objects
Registry Path : HKCR\CLSID\{E3124C1D-A9A5-4314-8A88-5AF3DB9C7145}
Target : msdadc.dll

Thank you for the information.
We'll update MemMaid to make sure this doesn't happen again

One more thing,
Can you please look to see if you a DLL with this name on your PocketPC (msdadc.dll) ?
You can use MemMaid to do that.
Go to the 5th tab, tap on the arrow at the top beside the "Storage Usage" and then select "File Finder".

Thanks alot,
That's why MemMaid detects it as a bad entry.
Strange way and place to "hide" the registration data in !
We'll add this to our exclude list in our next (very soon) update.
