I have some games on my storage card that i want to make shortcuts to in my games folder but I can't figure out how.
Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Create an ActiveSync connection, and browse your device via your computer. Navigate to the .EXE file of interest, right-click it and select Copy. From there, go to \Windows\Start\Programs and right-click on an empty-space, and click Paste Shortcut.

Thanks Darius!

No problems. If you lay your hands on something like GSFinder+ (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34371), you can do it locally on your Pocket PC, without the hassles of having to have an ActiveSync connection up and running.

Thanks for the tip, I haven't used it much yet but it seems to be a great app!

Why not use file explorer on your PPC to do just that ?

Find the .exe, tap and hold, copy.
Go to your game directory, tap and hold, paste shortcut ?

Heh... I haven't used File Explorer in so long that I forgot it could do that. Thanks for the reminder.

Once I realized how many screen taps I could save each day by using shortcuts more, I got in the habit of putting them on my Today screen. I like the way Pocket Plus lets me arrange and change Today screen shortcut icons.

Yeah, i didn't think to try that, since i didn't see the 'create shortcut' i thought it would just copy the file instead of making a shortcut to it.

I have a lady friend at office who once said that her definition of geek is :
a person who do more than 100 taps/clicks in a day.
(stylus taps and mouse clicks)

Thanks for the tips guys. I was also looking to do this. However, all of a sudden (after a battery run down over the weekend) I can't tap & hold in my games (or programs) folders. Also, I've discovered that using the Activesync method shows the icons okay, but they do not show up on the device! :?: :?:  :?
