The definition of "best SIP" resides in the user's preference itself. Some prefer Calligrapher. Some prefer PenReader. Calligrapher is actually a revamp of the default Transcriber, so it replaces it altogether. If you're happy with Transcriber, you should just stick to it. I've tried Calligrapher before (especially the new 7.4 version), and I have to say I'm impressed with the features it delivers. If it makes a lot of mistakes, you may have to configure some of the recognition options to make it work the way you want it to.

I like Calligrapher. I must say, when you change the recognition settings by adjusting the gestures to your handwriting a bit more and use the new autocorrect feature, i do get a great accuracy on very bad handwriting.....

in my case:

1. MessagEase --- around 40 wpm blind-typing
2. Fitaly --- around 35 wpm, still cannot blind-type because of the smaller keys than MessagEase
3. Block Recognizer (aka Palm Graffiti) --- around 30 wpm, and very convenient (not much used anymore in either of my old PDAs)
