Okay, so maybe it's not the best paint job ever, but I did it in about 10 minutes, so...

I'd definately buy something like this, but since it doesn't exist, I had to make it.

What Photoshop projects have you done with Pocket PCs? I'd love to see what others have wasted their time doing. :D

My wife would almost want one if I could do that. Maybe if I can the 3800 my friend gave me with Linux on it back to Windows, I'll paint my 3700 like that and give it to her.

I can't get her interested in a PDA though. She's perfectly happy with her wall calendar.

Wow that's great. Wish I had those kinds of Photoshop skills. :)

Here's one I made earlier :)

This is MY perfect pocketpc. It is quite thin, has a 60GB toshiba hard drive, 128Mb ram, 128Mb rom, 2 SD slots, a transparent flip cover, and specialised media player keys (and a scroll button). It will show video for 3-4 hours, music for 16 with the screen off, and wont go blank when the power runs out. It has USB2, and USB host (and consumer IR) and TV out :)

It is focused on media playback, and has a Media Centre like screen, brought up at a click of the home button, but can do everything a pocketpc can do. Of course its also good at playing games :)

Surur

Edit: forgot to add bluetooth 2 and wifi G of course. No video-in, co's you dont want to leave this lying around connected to a VCR, do you? It would be supported by Media Centre like software on the PC, and would sync automagically, like the ipod. $600 sounds like too little, but how about $800?

I made one a while ago when someone (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=33592) was talking of the Loox 720 and the UX50 being great units!

Haha - you know everything's an illusion when Escher gets brought into the equation. "Is that Pocket PC even real?" ;)

This is from a while ago, but it just seems to me that the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the fictional guide (http://hhgproject.org/entries/hitchhikersguide.html) inside the science fiction novel (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0345391802/103-8639712-7088635?v=glance) of the same name...) could get rid of those pesky buttons on the front if it was a Pocket PC. This is an old image that I drudged up from my computer:

LOL

I was listening to the HG2G radio series while reading this thread 8O

Where can I get a copy?

edit: Ah yes, that's right. 3.99 Pounds for the book and 3.9 trillion Pounds for shipping.

Dude, that's good! I like it. Great idea! I love grafting parts from one device onto another. I'll post some of my other projects later.

There was a thread on Aximsite called the Golden Axim a while back, so I created a photochop for the thread:

Okay, here are two more. I didn't spend as much time on the second one and didn't feel like editing the lines out. But it looks good, nonetheless:

Only to be picky, but on the screen on the PDA you should have got the correct colour to colour just above the eyes. On my laptop screen, I see a paint mark squiggling around there :)

When I designed the logo for PocketPCTools.com, I played around with the tools theme and made the 2215 a generic PDA and added the swiss army knife to it:

http://pocketpctools.com/themes/DeepBlue/images/logo.gif

and then for the "Running Review" I put the toolbox on wheels :D
