There this guy. He's online name is Picard_Beta. He wrote this program called BetaPlayer with a plugin that uses the 2700g video processor on the dell x50. Then, he wrote a little program that enhances the GAPI, making all sprite games run better.

Now, my little PDA can play all my divx movies without any dropped frames and I can play all my Super Nintendo games (PocketSNES) at full frames WITH SOUND.

This is the best PocketPC out right now! I love it.

I'm certainly pleased with my X50v. The weakest part is the the battery life, but it is improving all the time at the moment. Each day on the train at the end of the trip the battery left is increasing. :-) Good to let these batteries 'run in'.

Did you try the torture test yet?

Put a Microdrive in there and transfer huge files back and fortrh between yer PC while you are streaming a high qualiti movie from your PC with WiFi, all on max brightness.

Way less then an hour baby.

I'm growing happier with the X50v battery performance. It seems to be improving each say I use it. It now is certainly is lasting much than my X5 battery would in similar conditions. Still a bit to early to say how much better.

The X50v's max brightness is way higher than most of the other devices, so that's not really a fair comparison.

So how long does this test last on your VGA PPC Fishie? ;-)

On my Sigmarion3 it lasts just over two houres with the standard battery.
And thats a higher res 5.1 inch screen.
On the Toshiba it lasted about 80 minutes.

Your point being? The Sigmarion is a larger unit. You need to stop comparing the Sigmarion and the X50v -- the price is not the same, the formfactor isn't, and neither is the OS (although they're similar).
