Hi.
I have been constantly looking for the killer PDA+Phone in one device and for me (it's subjective) my Axim (wifi+bt) and a separate small phone still seems a better choice.
What I think would be a killer device is a PDA with an embedded detachable bluetooth 'phone-stick'.
From the PDA back (or embedded similar to a thicker pen) I will be able to extract the phone-stick which may be folded in 2. The phone-stick will have a rechargeable battery in it, recharged by the PDA main battery, and of course a mic on one end and a speaker on the other. It may also have a hang up button.
The cellular reception will happen on the PDA, not the phone-stick, and in essence that stick will basically operate like any other bluetooth headset, only embedded in the PDA when not in use.
I think this will be a better thing to have in a PDA-phone than having to carry a flimsy earphone or an extra delicate bluetooth headset. The technology is completely there, today's bluetooth headsets are very small.
What do you think?
