Personally, I'd pick the h2210. The rz1710 has isn't really stocked up and doesn't live up to its tag of being a replacement for the h1940. The processor is slower, it lacks Bluetooth, and a lamentable amount of memory. Although it runs WM2003SE, the features stocked up in the h2210 make it an easy winner over the rz1710 IMO. The h2210 also has a CF slot which may prove to be a handy thing to have in the near future.

I'd dump the 1710 -- I have a 2210 -- it's great, but it's a year and a half old -- If I were buying now, I'd go with the Dell X50 mid ($300 now on sale and with coupons)... Faster processor, new OS, and otherwise similar to the 2210... (I'd really buy the X50v, but it's a bit more expensive...)

The 2210 definitely has more bang for the buck.... the 1700 only has a better looking screen (the 1945 type screen minus yellow tint) and Windows Mobile SE, but lacks any wireless options and built in memory. Still a nice basic PDA for those that don't need the memory or wireless features built in....

First choice: 2215
Second choice: 2215
Third choice if I had a second chance at choosing: 2215
