Welcome to the "No VGA out cable" Club!

We've been discussing Dell sales at work lately e.g. why can you buy a X50v in America for US$420 with various discounts when the same thing'll cost you US$650 in Australia, calculated at today's exchange rate, with no discounts available at all. If nothing else, shipping from country of manufacture, Malaysia, to Oz should be cheaper than to the USA.

Theory is that Dell has each country run its outlet as a discrete profit centre. There is a hands-off approach from Dell central management to how each does its business, based on numerous local factors we could only begin to guess at here.

Just an idea but it might explain some of the odd pricing and accessory availability.
