Since getting an X50v I've been having memory issues that I used to not have with my 2215. Every time I go to turn on BT it tells me I need to restart because there's not enough driver memory.

I'm using Battery Bar and it shows my RAM (I believe it is) at 81%! But my file space is still at only 5%. Is there a memory management program that will tell me what is taking up all the space?

I'm pretty much running the same software I was running on my 2215. The exception being SE_VGA.

Here's what the memory looks like now:

If you're accessing the Internet with your Pocket PC, you've probably got a lot of temporary files taking up a lot of space. I was amazed the first time I used MemMaid (http://www.handango.com/brainstore/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=123995) and it freed up nearly 9MB of garbage I didn't know I had. It's a great program!

I've had to become more cautious with the software I buy, because it's become very easy for me to pick up every little application that catches my eye. However, MemMaid has become one of the most important programs I have, and one of the first I install when I get a new (or hard reset) device.

Thanks Brad. That's just the program I was looking for.

When my 2215 ran out of memory the temporary internet files is the first place I went to clear things out. Unfortunately, that's not the case here.

Battery Pack and Sprite also have programs that can locate and help you clean out temporary files on your device.

However, the best way to conserve RAM is to install all your programs on your storage card - except essentials that need to be on your device (e.g. you need when you hotswap CF/SD cards - Pocket Informat, eBook reader, mp3 player etc...)

Tweaks2k2 can also redirect temporary internet files to a storage card.
