Weird alerts when I add a contact.

I need some help.

Whenever I enter a contact on my Pocket PC and it gets synced to Outlook on my Desktop PC it appears with a "Follow-Up Flag" on the PC side. Then everytime I open Outlook it pops up an alert that tells me I need to call that person. As I enter more and more contacts on my PPC the number of alerts that pop up everytime I open Outlook grows.

It's highly annoying now and I haven't discovered anything which clears the alerts. Please help me out here.

The only thing I can to this is that it happens when I add a contact on the PC side too. I thought it was only the contacts synced from the PPC but it's really all new contacts.

Is there some setting that automatically places a follow-up flag on a new contact? Help?
