Asus has now posted a patch to resolve the problem with no audio being directed to bluetooth headsets. After running the patch the two headsets I have which had not worked before, now function properly.

Here's the link:

are there any high-end BT headsets that will work with this patch?
like maybe the new HP ones?

thanks

I have wondered about that myself. The new higher-end bluetooth headsets may use version 1.2 of the headset protocol, but be backward compatible with devices that use version 1.1, which is what the A716 has. But even so, I don't think you will get the higher quality audio that the 1.2 protocol allows, so that those headsets are likely to disappoint on a PDA like the A716. Since Asus came out with the patch, I have had no trouble using my headsets (Logitech and Bluetrek G2). The connection is easy and reliable and I can listen to lectures, etc. without any difficulty. However, though I haven't tried it with music files, my guess is that the sound quality for that would be wanting.
